Woman Selling Seafood At Wuhan Market Could Be First Known Covid Case

Wuhan Virus: According to a recent research, a woman selling seafood in the Huanan market of Wuhan (China) may be the first known case of Kovid-19 case. Actually, before this, an accountant in Wuhan was considered to be the first possible patient of Kovid. According to the report, this confusion was caused by a 41-year-old patient who had reported a problem with his teeth on December 8. After that the symptoms of Kovid developed in his body. The same symptoms were also found in many other workers of Huanan market at that time. He started showing fever and other symptoms from around 11 December due to coronavirus.

The research’s author, Michael Vorobey, head of ecological biology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, said he lived 30 kilometers (19 mi) away from the accountant market and had no direct links to the Huanan market. According to him, the person (accountant) may have got infected due to community transmission after the virus spread in Wuhan. At the same time, Vorobey’s research suggests that the Huanan market was the source of the initial outbreak. Scientists have not yet reached the conclusion of the origin of SARS-CoV-2.

Confusion over the theory of spread of Kovid

There are about two theories going on in the world regarding the origin of Covid-19. According to the first theory, this virus was made in the laboratory and then it was leaked. At the same time, the second theory supports the spread of Kovid-19 from bats. However, there is confusion among scientists about both these theories and they have not been able to reach any conclusion. According to Vorobey’s report, no live animal collected at Huanan market or any other animal market in Wuhan during community transmission of Kovid-19 was tested for SARS-CoV-2-related. The Huanan market was closed and disinfected on January 1 after community transmission reached its peak.
