According to a Wisden report, Dravid had signed a contract of £45,000 for 3 months in 2003 to play for Scotland. It was funded by an NRI, who used to raise money through special events. At that time the Scotland Saltires were promoted to the National League of England for 3 years. Under this agreement, Dravid played 11 ODIs for the Scotland cricket team. All these matches were against different county teams.
Dravid made his debut against Hampshire. In the first match, this former Indian batsman scored 25 runs in 41 balls. However, after this a lot of runs came from his bat. He scored a century against Somerset and then played an unbeaten 129 against Nottinghamshire.
