Indore, Naidunia Representative, Sports Indore News. Indore and Ujjain proved their dominance in the divisional weightlifting competition organized at the local Shri Ram Gym Khajrana Chauraha Shri Ram Sports Group Campus-3. Apart from Indore and Ujjain, more than 75 male and female participants from Nagda, Dhar, Pithampur, Shajapur are participating in the competition.
The competition was inaugurated in the presence of international medalist Dr. Sharad Nagar, Vishwamitra awardee Davinder Singh Khanuja, international players Vimal Prajapat, Bhaskar Meena, Chandrakant Holkar, Luis Narhanona and Sunil Patidar. After that the matches started. First Piyush Solanki secured first position in 49 kg youth. In the 55 kg youth, Sheikh Arshan stood first, Vicky Nath second and Yuvraj Chauhan third. In 55 kg junior category, Vijender Rathod stood first, Vasudev Silavat second, Faiz Khan third.
In 61 kg youth category, first Sumit Rajput, second Deepak Chauhan, third Shubham Tanwar, 67 kg youth first Tanishk Paliwal, second Aishwarya Patil, 73 kg youth first Himanshu Nath, second Divyanshu Singh. While in 61 kg junior category, first Hariom Bhuria, 67 kg junior first Gautam Chauhan, 73 kg junior category first Abhilash Sikdar, second Abhishek Raghuvanshi, 55 kg senior category Akhilesh Mandloi stood first, Gulab Singh Gundia second. In 61 kg senior category, first Shivam Yadav, 67 kg senior first Anup Mandal, second Dilip Bhuria, third Abhijit Karade, 73 kg senior first Vivek Pardesi.
