Science books remained the center of attraction in the book fair organized at MDU. Most of these books, which have been the focal point of reader’s choice, are said to be related to the curriculum. Books of national and international publishers related to literature, yoga and other subjects were available in the fair. Readers have booked orders to buy more than 5000 books to publishers.
A book fair was organized in Tagore auditorium on the third day on Wednesday. More than 40 stalls of various reputed publishers were set up here. Books ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 20 thousand were available on them. Copies of foreign editions remained exclusively available in Indian publications. Instead of dollars, the price was shown on these in Indian rupees only. National and international publishers put their works for sale in the book fair. In the fair on Wednesday, the poetry collection Mann Ki Baat, book of Dr. Madhukant’s old life stories and Dr. Madhukant’s educational drama theater and craft book under the editing of Dr. Ashok Kumar Mangalesh were also released in the fair. Dr. AS Mann, Dean Colleges of MDU arrived as the chief guest in the fair, Dr. Rajesh Poonia, special guest, poet Virendra Madhur released books. Stage Management Prof. Pushpa and Pawan Gehlot did it. University Librarian Dr. Satish Malik also participated in the program. Dr. Naseeb Singh Gill, Dr. Sumit Gill, Dr. Parmel Chaudhary, Archana Kochhar, Ankur Arora, Dr. Janardan Sharma, Dr. Anand Sharma, Brijbala were present on this occasion.
The book fair has been organized after two years due to Corona. The students were studying online. After a long time, he has been introduced to books. Good books from reputed publishers of the country and abroad have been included here. It is good for students and teachers.
