Now Electricity Bill Will Be Recovered From E-wallet App

Baliya. A new initiative has been taken to recover the electricity arrears of the district. Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam has launched the e-wallet app for the help of women of self-help groups for this work and to facilitate the payment of bills. Through this, the women of the group will be able to easily recover the bill from the defaulters of electricity. For this they are also being trained by the department.
The most important thing about this app is that through this, consumers can easily take advantage of departmental schemes apart from normal billing. This information was given by Chandresh Upadhyay, Executive Engineer, Electricity Department. He said that 253 women of the group have been kept as electricity sakhi by the department to recover the outstanding bills in the entire district, but at present only 18 of them are working. As a commission, they will be given Rs 20 on collection of bills up to Rs 2,000 in rural areas and Rs 16 for bills up to Rs 3,000 in urban areas. Told that the rest are being trained. Told that at present in Hanumanganj, Gadwar, Maniyar and Rasra development blocks, electricity bills are being recovered by electricity sakhis with the help of e-wallet app. The Executive Engineer said that so far 4500 defaulters of the district have been benefited under the one-time settlement scheme run by the government.
