Muzaffarnagar, Morna. A kabaddi competition was organized on Wednesday in the Kartik Purnima Gangasnan fair in Shuktirtha, the pilgrimage town. At the inauguration of the competition, DM Chandrabhushan Singh said that Kabaddi is the identity of Indian culture in rural areas. In the women’s section of the competition, the team of Soram, runner-up Bitavada was awarded with a trophy.
DM Chandrabhushan Singh and SSP Abhishek Yadav inaugurated the Kabaddi competition organized in Shuktirth Kotwali Mela Complex. In the women’s section final of Kabaddi, Village Soram team won the trophy by defeating Village Bitavada team 37-19. SSP Abhishek Yadav said that soon sports competitions would be organized at the district level in the police lines as well. CDO Alok Yadav said that we are ready to cooperate with the player who will be talented.
Zip President Dr. Veerpal Nirwal, Additional Chief Officer Jitendra Balian, Amit Rathi, Sandeep Gurjar, Brajveer, Ajay Krishna Shastri, Narendra Garg, Kartar JE, Dr. Arjun Singh and Pradeep Nirwal appreciated the game of young players. District Kabaddi Secretary Rampal Singh and social worker Jogendra Verma Bhokarhedi honored Captain Nisha Chaudhary and Varsha Chaudhary with cash prizes. Player of Soram team Avantika was adjudged the best player. The commentary team included Idris Baseda, Anil Kakra, Shamshad Barla and Shamsher. Narendra and Annu played the main scorers.

Morna. Ten teams participated in the men’s section of the Kabaddi competition organized in the fair. District Kabaddi Secretary Rampal Singh said that Barla defeated Kakrala 23-15, Nirgajani defeated Rahmatpur 20-16, Love Academy Baseda defeated Chaurawala 29-19, Vijay Club Baseda defeated Shuktirth 30-06 and Nirgajani won. Beating Buffalo team by 22-17 points entered the next round.
