Internet of Things will change the direction and condition of cities: Prof. dahiya

Jagran Correspondent, Sonipat : IQAC and RUSA Director of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal, Prof. Pawan Dahiya said that Internet of Things will change the condition and direction of cities. After the arrival of 5G, the utility of Internet of Things will increase more. The Internet of Things will play an important role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Pro. Dahiya was addressing as an expert in the Faculty Development Program organized in collaboration with Atal Academy at DCRUST.

Pro. Dahiya said that with the help of associated technologies of Internet of Things, it will be possible to fully utilize the infrastructure and facilities of the cities. The Internet of Things will play an important role in building a smart city. Dahiya said that there are 8 parameters to build a smart city, which include energy, transport, education, health, building, security, e-governance and green city. Smart cities can be made by fully using technology on all these parameters from IoT. IoT is an important part of the fourth industrial revolution, while the use of other technologies such as cloud, big data, artificial intelligence is not possible without IoT. Planning of basic infrastructure and services in a smart city is not possible without prior notice and immediate notice. With the help of IoT, instant information and direct communication with citizens can be established, so that the facilities will be available as per the wishes of the citizens. After the arrival of 5G, the utility of IoT will increase, due to which the plan of Integrated Smart City can be implemented practically. IoT will enable smart energy, smart health, smart transport, smart industries, smart horticulture and other services in cities.
