Kuldeep Negi/Dehradun: The first Internet exchange in Uttarakhand has been launched today i.e. on November 1 in Dehradun. It was launched virtually by Union IT Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni. BJP MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, MLA Khajandas also joined Dehradun. This exchange has been set up in the IT Park of Dehradun. At the same time, its formal inauguration ceremony will also be held on Sahasradhara Road in Dehradun.
Uttarakhand has the advantage of double engine – Baluni
On this occasion, BJP’s national media in-charge and MP Anil Baluni said that Uttarakhand is getting the benefit of double engine. All-round development of the state is taking place. Work on air connectivity, rail connectivity continues
Anil Baluni said that the government in Uttarakhand is working on air connectivity, rail connectivity. In the coming time, the train will reach Karnprayag. There will also be rail connectivity up to Banbasa and Tanakpur. Recently, MP Baluni had met Union Minister of State for Information and Technology (IT) Rajiv Chandrashekhar to set up four Internet exchanges in Uttarakhand. The Union Minister had then given in-principle consent to open them, in which two are to be opened in Garhwal and two in Kumaon division. The launch of one of these Internet exchanges has started from Doon today.
