eBikeGo gets the manufacturing rights of electric three-wheeler Velocipedo

New Delhi, Auto Desk. Electric mobility startup eBikeGo on Thursday announced that it has acquired the manufacturing rights for Spanish automotive company Torrot’s smart e-trike ‘Velocipedo’ in India. With this, eBikeGo is now planning to enter the luxury electric three-wheeler industry and aims to manufacture these scooters i.e. three-wheelers.

The ‘Velocipedo’ is a smart electric trike that looks like a tadpole tricycle, with two front wheels and one rear wheel. If seen from the city point of view, this three wheeler electric vehicle can prove to be very convenient and economical. Carbon fiber roof has been given in this three wheeler.

eBikGo said that the Velocipedo will prove to be a milestone in the Indian mobility sector, especially in the field of electric vehicles.

eBikGo said in the press release, Velocipedo Electric Scooter is more secure and will benefit the customers in many ways.

Irfan Khan, Founder-CEO, eBikeGo said, “We are delighted to acquire one of the leading international automotive companies to manufacture e-trike Velocipedo in the Indian market related to the need of Indian consumers and infrastructure. put it on the global map.”

He said that the future of mobility is electric and the demand for electric vehicles is increasing day by day due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Khan said, “Equipped with modern features and digital features, the electric three-wheeler will emerge as one of the most preferred scooters across the world and will empower the urban consumer in particular.”

The company said the Velocipedo will be produced in three base models, which include a private vehicle, a trick taxi and a cargo vehicle.


Talking about the charging of the eBikeGo electric scooter, it is claimed to have a full charge in just 1.5 hours on a 220 V charge. At the same time, the company claims that this scooter will be able to give a range of up to 95 km in a single charge.
