The Cyber ​​Crime Unit of Delhi Police has busted a gang who hacked WhatsApp with the help of a special app and a software. The police has arrested a Nigerian citizen in this regard. The arrested accused has been identified as Chimelum Emmanuel Envitalu alias Morris Degri (33). Police have recovered a laptop, 15 mobile phones and other items from the accused. After hacking WhatsApp, the accused used to cheat by asking for help by sending account numbers to the people included in the contact list of the victims’ mobiles. Apart from this, many times they were cheated by making friends on social media and sometimes in the name of herbal seeds. There are many people in his gang. He had fled during the police raid. Police is searching for them. Accused Morris was living illegally in India since 2018. The police have also registered a case against the Indian in whose house they were staying.

KPS Malhotra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Fusion and Strategic (IFSO), Cyber ​​Crime Unit, said that recently a person living in Delhi had complained to the Cyber ​​Crime Unit about his WhatsApp being hacked. The victim told that after hacking his WhatsApp, someone has started asking for money in the name of help by sending messages to his acquaintances. The victim told that when his acquaintances called him and asked about the problem, he came to know about it. The accused broke into the victim’s contact list after hacking WhatsApp. After this, calling himself upset, he started asking for help by SMS or WhatsApp. The police immediately registered a case and started searching for the accused. During the investigation, the police came to know that the fraud is being done from Delhi and Bangalore. The team of Inspector Bhanu Pratap, Vijay Gehlot and others nabbed one of the accused from Mohan Garden area of ​​Delhi. During interrogation, the accused confessed to cheating.
