Crime – Woman advocate returning from Rudrapur dies in road accident

The woman advocate of Kashipur Kotwali, returning from Rudrapur court, was hit by an unknown vehicle on the NH, injuring her seriously. He was taken to a private hospital, where he died during treatment. Police has sent the body for post-mortem after Panchnama.
Neelam Ratnakar (35), originally a resident of Vivekanandapuri, Almora, was married ten years ago with Vishwadeep, a resident of Mansarovar Colony (Moradabad). Vishwadeep is a lawyer by profession. Constable Neelam of 2006 batch was working in Kashipur Kotwali since March. She was an advocate in the Rudrapur court. Earlier his posting was in Jaspur Court. Neelam had gone from Kashipur Kotwali to Rudrapur on Thursday for court work.
From there she was returning to Kashipur in a private vehicle. Along with it was Chandra Kiran, advocate of ITI police station. Both got down from the vehicle near Banskheri bridge. Constable Chandra Kiran went to get a bike parked at the same person’s house. During this, a vehicle hit constable Neelam. She was seriously injured in the accident. The fellow constable, with the help of passersby, took him to a private hospital, where he died during treatment.
On information, SP Pramod Kumar, CO AP Konde, Kotwal Manoj Raturi, ITI station in-charge Vidya Dutt Joshi, Kunda police station in-charge Arvind Chaudhary reached the hospital. The body has been sent for post-mortem after Panchnama. Neelam lived with her family in the quarters of Kotwali. They have an eight-year-old daughter, Divisha.
