This incident took place in Gursari village of Gadhimalhara police station, 17 km away from the district headquarters. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that the alcohol is poisonous. At the same time, the police has started investigation by sending both the bodies for post-mortem.

In village Gursari, 26-year-old Murat Singh son Shyamlal Yadav and 30-year-old Rajendra son Baburam Rajput drank heavily during the day on Sunday, hours after that their condition started deteriorating. Before the family members could understand anything, both died. As soon as the news of two deaths spread in the village, mourning spread in the village. The relatives of the deceased went to the Gadhimalhara police station with the bodies of both the youths and informed the police about the incident and expressed the apprehension that the liquor was poisonous. Gadhimalhara police station in-charge Ravi Upadhyay told that after reaching Gursari, a spot inspection has been done. Investigation has been started by sending both the bodies for post-mortem. Villagers say that Gadhimalhara and Maharajpur police station areas of Maharajpur tehsil area are adjacent to the border of Uttar Pradesh. Because of this, there is a large scale illegal liquor business here. In the district, liquor mafia and liquor contractors are illegally selling liquor of non-standard level in village-village and street-lane. Recently, hundreds of villagers, including the sarpanch, had submitted a memorandum to the office of the Superintendent of Police, demanding to stop the sale of liquor illegally and of non-standard level, demanding a ban on this business. Despite this, no action was taken, after all, the non-standard liquor took the lives of two youths.
