Car Riders Cheated Farmer On The Pretext Of Giving Lift, Four Accused Arrested

Moradabad. In Katghar police station area, car riders cheated a farmer on his mobile and money on the pretext of giving him a lift. When the accused asked the farmer to sign a slip citing the car as belonging to the government department, he got suspicious. He caught one of the accused on the spot, while his three accomplices fled with the car.
On receiving the information, the police swung into action and chased them and caught the accused. The police arrested the four accused of cheating and recovered the goods.
Haji Kalve Ali, a resident of Dhakia village of Dilari police station area, is a farmer. He reached Moradabad from Delhi at around 4 pm on Sunday.
Standing near the roadways bus stand in Katghar police station area, they were waiting for the vehicle to go to their village. Meanwhile, two youths came to him and asked Kalve Ali to sit in his car. After fixing the fare, Kalve Ali got into the car. Apart from the driver, another youth was sitting in the car. The accused told the farmer that this is a government vehicle.
You keep your money and mobile phone in the bag. Haji Kalve Ali put his one thousand 950 rupees and two mobile phones in the bag. Meanwhile, a youth took Kalve Ali out of the car and took him to the side and asked him to sign a slip. When the victim asked him about the department and office, the young man got nervous.
The farmer caught the accused youth. Meanwhile, the rest of the accused fled with the car from the spot. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after interrogating the victim, started searching for the occupants of the car. Started checking by sending messages to other police stations. The police laid siege and caught the car occupants.
Police station in-charge RP Sharma told that during interrogation the accused named Nannu resident of Bahjoi district Sambhal, Netrapal resident Mohalla Mudia police station Faizganj district Badaun, Hemchand resident Mohalla Narayan Tola, Nai Basti police station Bahjoi district Sambhal and the fourth accused named Raju Sharma resident of Mohalla Golaganj. Police station Bahjoi district has been told as Sambhal.
The station in-charge said that the farmer’s money and mobile have been recovered from the accused. The car used in the fraud has also been recovered from the accused. City Superintendent of Police Amit Anand said that after registering a case on the complaint of the victim, four accused have been arrested.
