100% capacity in these states
Trade expert Girish Johar has shared detailed information about the latest status of opening of theaters in various states of the country, according to which in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Tamil Nadu with 100 percent capacity. Cinemas are being operated. In West Bengal this capacity has been increased to 70 per cent. In other states including Maharashtra, permission has been given to operate cinema halls with 50 percent capacity. However, all multiplexes and cinemas will have to strictly follow the COVID protocol.

After Diwali, the seating capacity can also be increased in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had indicated to increase the capacity of cinema halls after Diwali. On opening of cinema halls, Ajit Pawar said- We have opened cinema halls with 50 percent capacity from today. Cinema owners are demanding 100% capacity. We told them to wait till Diwali. We will increase the capacity after Diwali if the situation is under control.
