Maharajganj: Governor Anandiben Patel, while addressing the program in Maharajganj on Monday, described the Anganwadi centers as a strong base of education and health. Said that if the system of Anganwadi centers is strengthened, then many problems can be solved simultaneously. It is not only possible to envisage a healthy mother and child from Anganwadi, but by strengthening home education, we can also strengthen the education system in the future.
Governor distributed pre-school kits to a total of five Anganwadi workers out of 21 adopted Anganwadi centers of Siddharth University. Also gifted LED TV, washing machine and geyser to the foundation stone of Farenda old age home.
The Governor said that so far in the education sector, only 27 percent of the youth in Uttar Pradesh are able to reach the colleges by walking from the primary. The biggest reason for this is the weakening of the foundation of their education. This target of the new education policy is to increase it from 27 to 50 percent by the year 2030. For this, we have to include yoga and important sports along with scientific and Vedic method in education. On the initiative of Siddharth University, all the methods are contained in the pre-school kits provided by the colleges of the district by adopting the Anganwadi centers. Through which children will be able to become proficient in maths, science and primary education while playing.
He said that there is a need that children should come to Anganwadi before primary. Here they are learning colors and forms by playing games. By including Vedic stories in it, he too will try to become Dhruva and Prahlad.
Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said that I am grateful for the initiative taken by the Governor to strengthen the rural health and education system. Following the unique initiative of Siddharth University, others should also cooperate in such works. The Vice Chancellor of Siddharth University, Prof. HB Srivastava said that today the credit of this concept goes to the Governor, the Anganwadi centers where the kits are being distributed by the colleges affiliated to the university. Mother-like behavior is found in Anganwadi
The Governor said that as the name of Anganwadi is, so is its work. All women have been given appointments here. Even the supervisors along with the assistants are all women. The task of diverting children from home environment to education is done between play and affection. Whether it is any kind of vaccination or to help pregnant women fight against malnutrition, Anganwadi workers everywhere work to show their affinity. Child marriage is also the cause of malnutrition
The Governor said that every day thousands of children have to be hospitalized for four to five days after delivery due to malnutrition. The reason for this is that the mother and child are not healthy. Another reason for this is child marriage. Every pregnant woman gets five thousand rupees from the government to take care of herself, but it is not being utilized properly. We have to ensure that the pregnant woman spends this money on her health and keeps herself and the child healthy. The District Magistrate said that the Anganwadi center will become a model
Expressing gratitude, District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar appreciated this initiative of strengthening the Anganwadi centers of Siddharth University under the direction of the Governor. He said that apart from these Anganwadi centres, every Anganwadi center in the district would be made a model.
