Kheda. If mobile is found on the visitors during the meeting with the prisoners in the district jail, then a fine of Rs 50,000 will be charged on them. Imprisonment for five years has been made. The jail administration has issued information in this regard.
Jail Superintendent Brijendra Kumar Yadav said in a press note issued on Thursday evening that when mobiles were caught from the people coming to meet the prisoners in the district jail, they used to defend themselves by telling them to have brought mobiles by mistake. But, now this will not happen at all. Apart from the prisoners, people coming to the meeting will have to undergo a five-year jail term as well as pay a fine of Rs 50,000 if they find mobiles and other electronic devices with them. Under Section 42 and 43 of the Prisons Act 1984, an FIR will be registered against the above as a non-bailable cognizable offense. In this regard, on the instructions of the government, DG Jail has issued orders to all the jail superintendents.
